WHY so SERIOUS ?
do u have the back to karkand cuz if u have it then u could get the famas (epic gun) really easyily or u could start co-op to unlock the mp-7 which is also good, u know better then starting with the shit guns they give us :y: and i recommend team deathmatch for beginners cuz its a close quarter game :y:

I recommend going rambo just like in cod for awhile. so you can learn the guns and maps. then focus more on team word. this is a much more team oriented game

As IRAQ said above, I would suggest doing TDM to start with. It'll give you the chance to get used to the guns, the controls, and the general feeling of the game, without the trouble of having to deal with the vehicles.
But if for whatever reason you don't want to do TDM, there's also the option of Rush and Conquest. If you were a fan of the HQ game-type in COD, then Rush we'll probably be your thing. If you were more a fan of domination, then Conquest is your best bet.

When it comes to classes, what you really want to do is decide what your thing is. Do you want to be very much in the middle of the fight? Do you want to be an anti-vehicle player? Do you want to stay back and snipe? These are the kind of questions you need to ask yourself. While it's good to initially try out all the different classes, the best thing to do is pick one and dedicate yourself to it. As to begin with, all the classes will be weak, and it requires time and skill to actually rank them up and get better equipment and weapons.

When you decide it's time to try out the vehicles, which will come fairly soon I expect (as this is one of the main reason players move from COD to BF), you need to be easy on yourself. You won't be able to control them very easily, and you won't be able win fights against other vehicles very often. The fact of the matter is, they'll have more playing time in them, and better attachments. You'll most likely want to try out the jets, as they're often considered the most "cool" of the vehicles available... But the thing is, they're probably one of the hardest things to master in the game, and even when you get to the stage where you think you're 'ok', you'll still encounter players much better than you, who'll take you out without a second's warning. Even I, who has over 25 hours in the jets, and nearly 1k kills, still come across players who can simply out-play me due to their extra experience. The key is to understand when you're beaten, and accept it. Not try and fight it.

And lastly, be a good general player. I know you don't have to give out an ammo box, or wait for other players to get into your vehicle, but it's just the right thing to do. Unlike COD, it's very hard to be successful in this game without the support of your teammates... And if you don't treat them with respect, they wouldn't think twice about giving you any.

Anyway. Feel free to add me on PSN (Objectivate) if you're looking for someone to level up with.

i agree with everything ^ so basicly BF3 team deathmatch is like a free for all in COD, maps made smaller so more close quarters however conquest is the whole map which is VERY hard to find people to kill tho its fun using the vehicles :y: anyway add me up if u need a squad ( EP1C_GUN ) kinda bored of playin alone lol

Harder no
It just as easy as COD however it harder to get a super good k.d and score.

Couple things it does different to COD like the knife and bullet drop. Along with recoil pattern and overall gun feel.
Knife is not a one hit kill without holding it down. It a 3 hit kill and slow to move.
So at close range best not to think the knife beats all Winky Winky

Guns have bullet drop , the bullet drops over a distance how far depends on the gun and how fast the bullet travels. Don't worry most guns you don't notice unless your using a sniper over 150m

Best to start off in TDM. Your learn how the weapons work in that game mode along with learning the maps.
If you want a faster style of play rush
If you want to play BF then conquest.

Conquest is the gamemode which made BF. It a flag based game mode whatever team can kill and hold flags wins. More flags you hold the more you bleed the other team of lives. In other words if you have no flags but kill alot your not likely to win. The bleed is designed so that not possible.
And alot of vehicles to help you along.

Rush is demo from COD without the spawn trapping.

All BF game modes deaths reduce the amount of lives left for your team.

Next up don't snipe unless you know the maps. Along with the role of the kit.

Look at your radar it can help you.
Remember the 5sec rule when spawning on teammates wait 5secs.
Flank when you can
Spot people
Vehicles don't fear them , can be helpful but don't be stupid with them. One thing your find hard is unlocks in vehicles.

Play with people from this forum can help you pick up the game faster.

I'm on the same boat as you. Just got this game last Friday and was moving on fro MW3. It started off kind of hard for me, but after a few games I got used to it. Like others are saying above, TDM is the way to go. You can get a lot of kills and it's pretty close quarter/ faster-paced then the other gamemodes. If you using the starting guns, I recommend the M416 on the assault class if you unlock it. It is great with a RDS and it doesn't have much recoil. Other then that, I'm still learning this game too, so I don't have much tips. Looks like the posts above me are pretty detailed, so go from there Smile Oh and another good tip is to be a teamplayer and spot people when they are too far away and you can't shoot them. It really helps out and you'll notice your team will get kills much faster and you'll win more games if you have good teammates.
