A video has surfaced on YouTube of a BF3 fan at PAX playing Ziba Tower, a map included in the upcoming DLC release know as Close Quarters. The quality is poor but you can see what DICE is trying to achieve with bringing more close quater maps to BF3.



The video has quite a bad like to dislike ratio. It seems BF3 fans are not pleased with the idea of close quater maps and would rather other DLC packs announced such as Armored Kill.


Close Quaters is set for release in June. Seven out of the ten weapons to be included for unlock have been revealed so far. These are:

• SPAS-12 – (Semi-Auto Shotgun/All Classes)
  
• ACW-R – (PDW/Engineer Class)
  
• L86 – (LMG/Support Class)
  
• MTAR-21 – (Also known as TAR-21 assault rifle/Assault Class)
  
• AUG – (Although some games classified this weapon as an LMG, the AUG is an assault rifle, thus should be in available to the Assault Class.)
  
• LSAT – (LMG/Support)
  
• SCAR-L – (Battlefield 3 already has the SCAR-H (heavy) for the Engineer Class. L stands for light, so it’s likely to be included in the Engineer Class as well.)
  

These were spotted in the killfeed during the trailer released a short while ago.

I am starting to feel the same way. Over the last few months I have been slowly converted into a Battlefield player from CoD and I came to Battlefield for something different.

Regardless, it's DLC I will be purchasing. Who knows, maybe Ziba Tower will be the most fun you could ever have on BF3 when using a shotgun.

Map design looks a bit different from metro but still the same overall ideas behind it....
More flank routes but enough map for close range.
Be interesting how it plays out.

Am still mixed on if am going to buy this not sure.
I love the bigger maps on BF3 the close range range ones feel meh to me. Nice change of pase sometimes but people play like douches on them > >
Think it time DICE made a game with smaller maps as they want to try that out and not ruin a IP with it.

Don't care if people think its 'Codish' but it'll still be amazing.
