By saying you are happy now, are you saying that when Battlefield 4 was originally announced you were worried about the pacing of the release, and that it was too soon? I felt the same way, but I think this new announcement has told us that there will be a good amount of time for DICE to let BF3 run its course and release the DLC.
Yeah I felt that they would probably cut BF3's life too short and release BF4 too rushed

Actually though, even if they support BF3 after the release of 4, it doesn't really matter to me because I doubt after playing the rest of the DLC's I won't really find it that fun.
To me BF3 doesn't have the same replay value as BFBC2, I think it's mainly the leveling system to me, once you have everything unlocked and you're leveling through the colonels it's just a bit boring to me sometimes
