You are correct, this has been done on CoD5 before.

I still don't see the point. You should use your skills and talent to rank up, and it really doesn't take longer than two days if you're even half decent - and gold guns just make you look like a ***** when someone watches you (kill cam, hardcore search etc).

It boosts your score I guess.

I did this, Really easy although im wondering wether you can still carry on with the number of headshots you got with a gun...

The best thing if you go De-Prestige
All your guns to 149 kills and headshots to 149
and then use every gun, make a headshot and you rank up very fast
