In high rounds w/0 pack a punch the thunder gun only knocks them down; then they get back up again
With ray gun u can atleast take their leggs out.

eh id say their both even. thundergun clears TONs of zombies, but poor ammo holding capabilties. raygun also clears zombies, but with using more ammo but you get way more points. both are good to help cover people being revived, and they both look bad-ass so like i said, just about even.

The only reason they fall down and get back up is because they were too far away. If the Zombies are in a tight horde of 24, they are ALWAYS a one shot kill. ALWAYS....

This is really a dumb question because the Thunder Gun will get you out of a jam if you get stuck, the Ray Gun will not. (past round 20)

Also, the in the 40's, 50's, 60's (and up) the only point of points, is to use the traps. The goal of Zombies is to find the most efficient strategy to get you as far as you can go. Points are meaningless. The Thunder Gun will kill 28 hordes (a horde is 24 Zombies) of Zombies (that makes 672 DEAD Zombies).

There is NO WAY you can kill 672 zombies with a full ray gun, on ANY round. Especially if you’re in the 50's the Ray Gun is TOTALLY pointless.

the ray gun and thunder gun combo is beast so try and have both of them plus if theyre pack-a-punched even better
