This is a way to stop people using modded controllers, you obviously have a fast trigger finger, you were probably tapping R1 instead of full auto for a more accurate shot at a distance. They did this instead of putting a limit on how fast you can shoot like in MW2 CoD4 and CoD5 online.

Reason I know this? It kept happening to me with the AUG so I asked jd2020 on twitter and thats what he said..

I would call that jamming. That is just lag causing the game to freeze up some.

this happens to me all the time. i use the m16 and i cant tell you how many times i put someone on last stand and end up getting killed by them cause im standing there with my red dot aimed right at them and guess what, my gun dont shoot. very annoying....
