(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey Guys, I just got done decompressing a the patch.ff file into a zone file, and when I tried to recompress it with siplyzip, it gave me a black screen. Now I think this is because the eboot still tries to decrypt the file even though it isnt encrypted, so then it goes into an infinate loop of black screen's whenver you go into multiplayer because the eboot made the file very weird. So that is my heads up to you guys..

For xbox there is a program (on s7) to remove the RSA checks from the xex, maybe you or someone could try porting that program to try working it with the PS3 eboot Smile

They use different encryptions, and you can't just port a program for an .xex to ps3s file type.... it would be a completely different program.

You can always edit the .self like the .xex was edited. Except you require .self editor payload installed on your jailbreak device!

The compression is the same between xbox and ps3, its the key that is different. I got the key off and the file decompressed once. So then its just like a ps3 file. But then I used simply zip with zlib to compress it back to an ff. Now, I tried to run it decrypted not decompressed, that is it. But the eboot get's stuck on an infinate loop while trying to decrypt it.. I am not telling you that youre wrong I am just giving a more detailed explanation

The rsa thing only works with xex t0 or whatever ti is. SO that would mean we would have to use a self from a debug 1.00 from the disk. So then we wouldnt be able to run it online, because ti would be unsigned... Unless this works with a retail 1.00.. hmmm
