At least I can fight
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Honestly, yeah I think they do.

They took out so many things that people who have skill and previous experience with Cod usually use. For starters, they took out the double tap Y (or Triangle for PS3) trick when you're reloading to make it so you aren't reloading anymore. Why take that out? Cod's controls are supposed to feel free and make you feel like you can do anything.

Next, they made listening to other players' footsteps almost impossible, even if you have an expensive gaming headset. If you spend the money to buy an expensive product for gaming, then you should get your money's worth. Also, the almost silent footsteps make Ninja an almost useless perk.

Treyarch also made it so that Challenges don't unlock anything (except pro perks...). This allows people who have no skill whatsoever to buy the best attachments and camo for their gun. If this isn't "noob friendly", then what is? People should have to earn everything. It's not fair that people with real skill can't show off their gun. And if they think "Oh we just want to prevent boosting", that's stupid becuase they already have a really uptight banning system (thanks Treyarch?).

Drop Shotting. We all know dive to prone was made only to help stop drop shotting. Drop shotting is a technique used by many experienced Cod players. Treyarch added dive to prone to stop these people from using their skill because they think it is "unfair". Well. . . if they are trying to make a VIDEO GAME realistic :carling:, it would make sense to keep this in right? It seems that they are trying to make a game more and more realistic. Well in a real war, if I see people, I'm dropping straight to the ground.

Next on my list is. . . quick scoping. Yeah. Quickscoping has been in Call of Duty ever since day one. It is the thing that people could do in private matches for hours and hours. People learned how to quickscope, they practiced, they practiced even more, and they got good enough to use it in a real game. It was great; it was a part of Cod. But. . . Treyarch on the other hand thinks it would make new players have a disadvantage (. . . umm all new players have a disadvantage). They took out Sleight of Hand pro for snipers. . . and they should have stopped there and maybe give snipers an exclusive Sleight of Hand Pro perk. They also think people who can't do it (JD_2020) would have a disadvantage. Well. . . to be honest, quickscoping is a skill that builds up over time. Also, quickscopers actually have a disadvantage. If they miss the first shot, they're dead. If they get a hit marker, they're dead. If the other guy has last stand, they're probably dead. Treyarch should leave huge decisions about quickscoping to Infinity Ward, the better developing company of the two.

So overall, Treyarch took many tricks and tactics out of their game used by many people with skill to make the game easier for people who are new to Call of Duty. Now before you guys comment and say "go play a different Cod", well I am. I'm playing Cod4. I only made this thread to stick up for people who have been playing this game for a damn long time (since Cod4 and under). At least Infinity Ward knows it's a video game and not real life. I think it's funny that Treyarch has Nazi Zombies and a guy who was "programmed" in their game, and they are trying to be realistic. Treyarch just doesn't like people who have skill. What do you guys think?

In the process of trying to make the game easier for newfags they took out every feature of the call of duty franchise that makes it enjoyable. I don't know about you guys but i'm going back to COD4

The worst part of the challenges not unlocking anything isn't that everyone can have the best atrachments but that it makes the game less fun and interesting. Back in cod4 waw and mw2 the thing that kept making me want to play was trying to unlock attaments and when I unlocked everything I wanted I started to get bored with the game. So in the process of trying to make the game easier and more "fair" they took out the stuff that made it possible for me to play the game until the next game came out. Everything you said is annoying but that is probably the worst part of what they did.

This is true. But you have to look at it from the companies point of view. They were getting so many complaints about quick scoping, drop shotting, etc etc. When you look at it, it is actually a little cheap. If someone runs up on you with a SMG and you have a sniper rifle that is meant for long range, then you quick scope them, that isn't exactly fair. Especially someone who has mastered it. But then again, it is a good thing.

It all boils down to which designer you like better. Do you like more realistic games, or more on the line of non realistic but realistic at the same time? (Treyarch or IW, now respawn entertainment)

It's all about the company. This argument is so controversial. There is no right or wrong answer, which makes the decisions difficult. Treyarch just tries to do their best in making an overall fair game no matter the skill.

You know, challenges really don't unlock anything in this game which is a bit of a disappointment. They just wanted to innovate and implement something new into their game, I'm sure a lot of players like it and don't like it.

IW is by far better in my opinion, because I like quick scoping and such things like that.

I think that was what Mw2 did. Things that sense heartbeats, unlimited grenade launchers, every gun killed in 3 shots, and no recoil. I think these things made it so noob gamers would do good, taking away the skill gap.

Being awesome since 2009
I think treyarch are getting the wrong end of the stick. They hear people saying that the game needs to be balanced and fair, so, what might be happening is that they think to balance it out, they should make it harder for the good players, making everyone around the same skill, and HEY PRESTO it's balanced. Unfortunately, it's not - it's just annoying, although I heard the Y-Y / Triangle - Triangle thing was to stop modded controllers or something, and that they would be fixing it and putting it back in... who knows.

You made some good points, what's worst is that Activision let TRITTON/MADCATZ sell $260 Gaming Headset for no reason what so ever apparently...LOL even though you should be buying them for the experience because it is a better experience playing with headsets then a Blue tooth but now there is just no incentive to spend $200+ on them. Moving on to the other comment I think 3ARC is trying to get the bad taste for some that was MW2 and making this game extremely leveled, they want 1st time gamers to have the same experience as older gamers but fact of the matter is COD VETERANS aren't used to this so this is why everyone is complaining. Let's be honest B.O. is not a bad game it just has small things people are not used too or things that were not in MW2 and this is why everyone is complaining. I do agree that at 1st I liked the buying stuff but I have realized this is what makes the game so bland or UN-challenging but I still enjoy playing the game mainly and this is a big part I have people to play with, B.O. is my opinion is a game that you need to play with people if you go solo your not going to like it to much.

If they did such a good job on previous CODs then just go and play those...
Trey is gonna make a game to appeal to as many people as possible (to sell the most copies as possible)

If they would have quick scoping then people would complain, and obviously when they take it out then people also complain.

My suggestion is if you are such a "skilled and experienced" player then learn to adapt and overcome...

What worked well in previous COD installments doesn't necessarily have to work in another.

I agree with you on one topic, I miss double tapping Y when reloading. Other than that I can live with what they did. Most of it was for the best!
