Zombie Mode at first was only if you beat singleplayer... it got so much playtime on it they turned the next map into a story and went from there... The First Map was just a Zombie Mode.. they had no idea it would grow so big... The Three Zombie Maps in the Map Back All have stuff in them and are apart of the story.. Kino is apart of the Story.. Five is in a way part of it but not so much.. Accession is another part of the story.... The First Map was never meant to be apart of a story... and if you play the first map on WAW there is no Voice overs from the guys in the other maps... but some people have said that the First Map was about peter.. the guy who is hanging in the second map... but that was never proven
sorry i wrote the response wrong i was in a rush:derp: but i already knew that Zombies was a last edition in W@W.. W@W had no story on zombies till Shi No Numa.. B.O. has some new editions in Shi No Numa, Verruckt, and Der Riese but nothing in Nacht

Since Nacht was only last second addition theres no info and the belief of the connection with peter is in correct its actually in the intro scene if u play solo u see a plane in front of u and it was a huge plane :O zombies running out of no where and get you its linked to single player i forgot the name something like Airfield its based off of that in single player there was a huge plane crash and they had that as its intro so the single player was related to zombies but in B.O. it leads me to believe that the plane was Nikolai, Dempsey, Richtofen, and Takeo they were over Japanese territory and they crashed (not shot down as in the dialogue in W@W) and there were like 0.5 miles off the actual place where the zombie map/ single player map is so they could've easily walked there .
