So my friend has his jailbreak but he needs a patch but lives in Ireland he said he was told that if its not the correct patch he can get a blackscreen.

not sure where you can get a patch, but yes it's true if its not the correct region patch you will get a black screen. But however if you look in the MW2 hacks section there is a tutorial on how to change the region of the patch, which would allow you to change any patch you wish
