I know for sure that some people have hacked MW2 game and they can do whole lots of things that cannot be done in normal game online. and I mean during late Oct and early Nov-11 (current)
My research on internet shows that it can be done but your playstation needs to be jailbroken first. Can someone help and write down steps on how to do it.
currently my system is on firmware 3.72 and an update is available 3.73 which i still haven't installed.
Please don't post downloads with surveys or ask for money. its purely for information exchance and being helpful to someone else.

impossible, need 3.55 ps3 or lower to jailbreak or change patches or u can be buc shots who knows how to do it a diff way

Internet shows you can downgrade to 3.55 , is it genuine information? if yes then how to do that.
So till now what i have learnt is that i have to do three steps : -
1. downgrade to version 3.55
2. Jailbreak Ps3
3. Install mod patches for MW2

Can some mod also verify this info, thanks heaps. and another question is will i be able to still play online ( which i think i should be as many ppl with patches on mw2 are currently online)

To downgrade you need to open your ps3 and do alot of soldiering but you can't play online unless you have 2 ps3s and data transfer the patches from the jailbroken 3.55 to the ofw 3.72 or 3.73 (I haven't played so i don't know what the version is right now)

ok great, so you mean someone with a jailbroken ps3 can transfer the patches to my unjailbroken ps3? that's even easier, does that require both ps3 to be hard wired or can it be done over internet?
Can someone verify this information who has done it first hand.

but technically data transfer is the foremost advantage of internet, you sure it cannot be done via internet, or can i get the data from jailbroken ps3 via a harddrive? please specify if its possible,
as i don't even live close to anyone with a ps3
