Not sure if XBOX got an update as well.
Ok, so after a LONG wait on hold, I got through to a representative over at Activision Chat.
This is what they said about the new update:

Really most of the improvements right now are on our end. As you know we had o make sure to update our servers due to the huge demand on them. As well as to smooth out the transition of players on multiplayer games. As you also know the Elite website is under maintenance as this update will assist in getting it stable.

So according to that, the new update was primarily for connecting issues and nothing concerning the game in general just encase anyone else was curious about what 1.03 brought.

Didnt they fix the riot shield boosting in SnD too ???

hopefully they fixed that horrible server lag. every time i joined a ground war game, the first game it would lag REALLY bad then eventually migrate and 70% of the time, it fails.

thanks for this. Good to know they're making adjustments to their servers. I'm sick of this "server connection has been lost" bullshit.

lol typical IW. its even worse now. every game shows i have a 3-4 bar but i can tell its a 2 bar or worse. it did this before but now its every game.
