(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I'm just writing this to tell people what you get in terms of Elite as a product not what they are offering as a service. I'm on the PS3, I cannot be sure for the XBOX. But as I was saying Elite is a product you buy for £34.99, which is a service not a DLC. This means whichever account you activate/purchase it on is the only account that can use the Elite Premium Service. The extras like MW3 DLCs can be shared on 5 different consoles, so can 16 users (max) on each console is allowed to use the DLCs. To check your subscription status, it would be in:

Account Management > Transaction Management > Services List > Call of Duty® ELITE 1-Year Membership

It comes up as 4 items for me:

Call of Duty® ELITE 1-Year Premium Subscription (Subscription) Subscription
Call of Duty® ELITE Premium Membership
Call of Duty® ELITE Founder
Call of Duty® ELITE - First Year Offer

All of which have a start and expiry date (08 Nov 2011 - 07 Nov 2012). Before I purchased Elite I was sure that pre-ordering would mean I will own the founder status and that status will not expire. I guess I was wrong as it has an expiry date it would mean to keep that status I would have to subscribe every year. This has made me realise the false advertisement for this service (Activate Elite before 13 Nov to become a founder), when in reality you have that status for a year only. Maybe you do get to keep it, but the item shows an expiry date that leads you to believe it's not permanent. I have also encountered a first day problem to Elite, as the site is inaccessible, which now means I am not getting 365 days but 364 or less depending on the downtime. I doubt we will be compensated for that.

Helpful Tip:
The Elite subscription is like PSPlus and is a service you get charged for every year/month (after the first year). If you ever decide not to renew your subscription, remove your card details from your PSN account or just go into the service list (Call of Duty® ELITE 1-Year Premium Subscription (Subscription) Subscription) and stop Automatic Renewal. So that you won't get charged for the renewal of this service in the future.

If you have a Founder Elite Card that came with the Harden Edition...then NO! You can use it anytime. For the people who upgraded to premium, you had to register and upgrade by December 13th to be able to get Founder Status. I hope this helped out and answers your question.

Quote the part where he asked a question. As a time saver: he didn't ask one.

Shame im out of groans stare

Why don't people ever research or look back when making treads.

Firstly due to the downtime of elite every member is getting a free month added on to their membership so don't complain about a couple days down time.

Secondly they will not remove your founder status or your dlc if you don't renew, they likely had to put an expiry date on the service so it would ask you to renew, if you choose to renew the days will change.
Why don't people ever think... Do you really think they will take away your founder status?
No, it's most likely just how it's shown on the ps3.
