1. Go right next to the trap
2. Make sure an enemy is close by
3. Press triangle or Y repeatedly
4. This will make it seem like you're taking it for yourself
5. Enemy will see that, and attempt to take it, thinking it's real since you were "taking" it.

Obviously the enemy will kill you. It's the satisfaction that you fooled them, and could laugh at them. It's more for fun... I'm sorry, didn't know NGU was so worried about K/D ratio that they cannot afford 1 death to get a cool kill.

So then the enemy would kill you wouldn't they and what if they had sitrep? And if you were lucky enough to get them they would not pick it up... cause there dead........ Plus the game would be finished by then.

I've seen people try this and my team still fall for it lol I never go for them anyway, best tip I can give to not fall for an enemy's Trap is that
"if it's too good to be true, it probably is"

Why would you sacrifice yourself just so someone will pick up a booby trap care package?

ehrm this would involve 1 death cause the enemy will kill you to take the fake care package. So its quite useless. The only thing that would work out is that 2 guys on your team use the normal care package and 1 guy uses the airdrop trap. So the enemy has no clue if it is real or a trap.

id rather not suffer that death and use assault killstreaks.
