They ban your ip for a temp ban
they probably ban your mac address like in black ops for perma ban.

Well on Black Ops they banned on the PS3 using your MAC address, it could be the same or not for the servers of IW. But like if your really worried about getting banned and asking these questions I would say not to hack; but it's all on you to hack or not.

Stop saying shit about MAC Address and IP Address.

You get banned via your PS ID, that is somehow stored in your HDD, and formatting won't erase/change it, as it's a more of a writing that happens to the HDD when it gets in your PS3.

I've seen a homebrew to change it like one year ago for 3.55, and yes it changed ID's. However, once you update to 3.55+, it goes back to normal.

IP Address and Mac Address have NOTHING to with a PS3 Game ban.

However for MW3 banning, you can try server mapping, it might work like blackops.

They don't ban by IP for sure. Your PS3's IP address changes weekly/monthly. I can confirm this, because I have a hacked PS3 with an FTP server on it. The IP on it changes weekly/monthly.

Really? please explain to me why one of my friends (know him in real life, not through psn) got his entire system banned (all users) from the black ops servers...please enlighten me. :rolleyes:
