Post: Playing the objective

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I think people fail to understand the objective.

Recently, I joined a lobby, and saw a few of my old friends in a full party (Ground war). The next few minutes are summarized with me scoring a 78-3 assault MOAB, but with a match loss. afterwards, I have my whole team and the other team yelling at me, because I didn't cap any flags - I was in an ac130 for half the match, and they couldn't grab a flag while everyone was dead. I was being told (by everyone) that domination wasn't for me.

My question to you:
What do you think is the objective? A lot of people criticize you for not capping any flags, and being a killwhore, but I really don't think they know how dom works.

Enemies defend flags-I kill enemies-no one hops on flag?

Cake is a lie
To me you have to have a mixture of killing and defending.

People fail to realize that being able to maintain 2 flags is the main key to winning in Domination at least.

If you can get kills you can usually cap flags. If you can get 70 kills then there is no reason your team shouldn't be able to cap flags and dominate. The people who can't get very minute kills always find a reason to hate. Killwhoring is ok as long as it's helping the team. And if you're playing randoms the odds of them getting more than 25 kills is slim so they should be capping flags and shooting air support because what else can they do?

The funniest guys are the ones losing 180-40 yet still bunching up getting killed for a meaningless flag.

That's actually what I was trying to explain to my friend that match. I'm not gonna be able to cap a flag when the whole team is spawn camping, so I'm gonna wipe them out in hopes my teammates will do well for it.

Best way I like to play Domination (regular not GW) is with at least 3 friends so a 4-man party, cap 2 flags, hold them down as much as we can, and get as many kills possible. I see it as a mix of objective play and kill-whoring, usually ending in a success.

It sucks when friendlies don't cap flags.

I totally agree with you! too many players play domination and demolition type game modes just like TDM and dont bother capping flags or whatever, I very rarely used to play in parties my W/L is 1.34 not as good as it should be, now i never play without at least 2 of my friends

youve got more losses than you have wins, you clearly dont cap any flags or play the objective

Because it's incredibly easy to win a ground war match, when you are the only one doing anything. I rarely play in parties, as most of my friends aren't even that organized. If I get someone good on my team who has a mic, I'll communicate, and head for flags, but when I'm gonna be one the flag by myself...
