It's a crack me. It's used to test reverse engineering skills. You basically reverse an algorithm to crack the program or something like that. I'm not too big into reversing but I've seen a lot of cm's before.

You open it in IDA or another debugger and reverse it. I'm not too keen on what exactly to do but I'm sure there are some good tutorials out there on what to do.
