(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So recently my Kali has decided to lock me out of my computer for some reason I still have my user as root and I have changed my password to root, but I am unable to log in still.

What I did to change my password was:
on boot go to advanced options.
pressed E on recovery mode
changed my read only to write (ro to rw) then added init=/bin/bash and the end of the line
Pressed F-10 to boot
put in the command passwrd (password here)
retyped the password and conformation.
reset computer.

Still not able to log in anyone have any other suggestions?
