(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Step 1 - Windows Updates

1: click start -> all programs -> Windows update
2: click change settings
2a: important updates
* install updates automatically (recommended)
* install new updates every day at (a good time, mine is set to 3AM)
2b: recommended updates
* make sure the box is checked for: give me recommended updates the same way I receive important updates
2c: who can install updates?
* make sure the box is checked for: allow all users to install updates on this computer
2d: Microsoft update
* make sure the box is checked for: 'give me updates for Microsoft products and check for new...'

...and we're done with Microsoft Updates.
Why do we use this setup? This setup guarantees you'll get most if not all updates (I recommend getting everything you can). Why keep things up to date?
Well because, you fucking dipshit - keeping things up to date not only keeps us secure, it protects us from vulnerabilities in Windows along with the basic fact that updated software runs better (in most cases, anyway). So, update everything.

Step 2 - Antivirus Software

Choose either AVG or ESET for your antivirus engine. Make sure your update settings for either of these AVs is set to realtime, or the shortest update-check time.

AVG:
You must login or register to view this content.
ESET:
You must login or register to view this content.

I personally use AVG, so this is how I do it for AVG:

1: click options (top right) -> advanced settings -> schedules -> definitions update schedule
* schedule running: every 15 minutes
2: schedules -> program update schedule
* schedule running: every 1 hour

If you use ESET, this will obviously be different, but make sure you set everything as low as possible. Run definitions updates in realtime if you can.

...and we're done with Antivirus setup.
Why do we use realtime? Because again, you dipfuck. Jesus. Pay attention. Can you? Fuck. Anyway, we do this because little kids, pricks, and other ******s out there on the internet want your shit. They want it so bad, they go to extreme lengths to make sure their malware, their tricks, all of that bullshit is super top secret and able to slip under the radar of an AV engine. So, updating in realtime or at least every 15 minutes could save your ass. Those definitions you just updated to 5 minutes ago may protect you from something discovered in the wild 20 minutes before, that may have potentially infected you. You're most welcome.

Step 3 - Anti-malware Software

Malwarebytes:
You must login or register to view this content.

Make sure MBAM (Malwarebytes anti-malware, for you new***s out there) is set to use realtime updates.

* settings -> scheduler settings
* click on type: update and click the edit button (below)
* frequency: realtime
* repeating every: 1 minutes

What is MBAM? MBAM protects you differently from an anti-virus. Anti-virus software protects you from viruses. Anti- ...you get where I'm going with this, right? Fucking jesus bro, I hope you do. So, it keeps you safe from other bullshit. Update frequency was explained above. New shit = keep up to date = no problem with new shit. You're safe, everyone's happy, end of.

Step 4 - Keyscrambler

Keyscrambler scrambles your fucking keys. JUST in case you SOMEHOW fuck up my previous shit I showed you, and some prick SOMEHOW gets past that - this will serve as a last resort, last-defense method of at least keeping what you fucking type, safe. So,

Step 5 - Unhackable Emails

Use Gmail. Stop using every other email provider. Stop being paranoid. If you sign up to a site that is not safe, or is sketchy, make a disposable email. Make your primary email on a Gmail account. Make your password secure.

Lastly, setup 2-step authentication on your Gmail account:

Step 6 - Protect your Personal Life

Cease all use of external chat applications. Skype & Facebook should be your only means of communication with your personal life. I personally recommend using only Facebook, because Skype does not have 2-step authentication yet.

Enable 2-step authentication on your Facebook account (they call this Login Approvals):
*
You must login or register to view this content.
Enable login notifications:
*
You must login or register to view this content.
Enable HTTPS browsing:

Other security features Facebook has:
*
You must login or register to view this content.

Optionally, you can just... not use Facebook. But why? Don't be a pussy. Understand what you share with the world, and secure your account. If your account is secure, nobody can mess with you. Also, make sure your account is completely private to the outside world.

See what certain people can see (mainly people who are not your friend [guests]):
*
You must login or register to view this content.

Anything you don't want the public to see, make sure you lock that down completely. If you do this right, you'll never have a problem with your personal life.

Make sure you also never post your email in the public, never your full name, any other personal information. Keep all contacts that aren't your personal friends (personal friends can just use Facebook messenger or text you to keep in touch) on Skype. Skype is great for connecting with internet people. We (here) use mainly Ventrilo and Skype. Ventrilo, Teamspeak & Mumble are all great ways of keeping in touch with your internet friends as well.

Yes, I know, discussing sketchy things on any of these services is not something you would do. So, if you're going to do that, find another way of communicating. Because honestly, the only real way you should be communicating with that kind of stuff is by writing it down on a piece of paper in an encrypted cipher that only you and the receiving party knows the key to. Sketchy things should never be discussed electronically.

Or just use TORchat or whatever the fuck its called. Some people swear by it, but I don't really recommend it. Its just the only thing I know about.

Step 7 - Sandboxes

Run ALL keygens, malware, etc. in either a Virtual Machine or a Sandbox. Never run non-legitimate software (or really, any software you don't already know for sure is safe) on your main PC. Don't expose yourself to potential risk. Use virtual machine software to protect you.
