£800-£1000 on the PC, or the graphics card?

Depends on how well you want your games to run but I'd say i5 + GTX 1060 combo with 16GB 2000MHz+ DDR4 and you should be good to go. And if you have spare money, invest in a bigger GPU.

It's a sad day when prebuilts are now cheaper and actually worth the money because of bullshit inflated prices on gpus from vendors.

a cyberpower prebuilt with a i7 1080ti sells for 2000 and i5 and a 1070ti is 1600. the 1080ti sells for at least 1000 itself since prices dropped. im sure when prices go up so will gpus

You’d be spending that on a GPU alone these days. You’re better off getting a prebuilt. This is outside of your price range but cheaper then building it on your own right now. Origin offers 24/7 support and their prices are not affected by the GPU price increase. (According to their stream.)You must login or register to view this content.

However, if you are building it then look forward to spending a fair amount on a GPU. You save money if you bundle it. You must login or register to view this content. This is what I did and paying $499 for a 1070SC is fairly cheaper then buying it separately. They go out of stock pretty quick though. They also offer a loan through Affirm if you don’t have the money but have a credit score above 600 and can make the monthly payments.

Use pc partpicker as well to check compatibility for any parts you find. Really though, buy prebuilt until GPU prices drop.

Thanks a lot, I was actually looking into building one myself but as you say, pricey. Will take a look at what you said, thanks for the advice
