Learn how to move. Good movement translates to other things like aim and accuracy. Basically, one of the first things you should learn is counter-strafing. If you're in a situation where you need to clear corners or potentially engage an enemy do not use W or S. Only use A and D. Then I recommend doing a lot of death match and getting your aim down. I have a sticky thread that I need to finish one of these millennia when I'm not working and it'll basically touch base on a lot of things new players should do or consider doing.
