03-10-2011, 06:25 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So my old headphones just crapped out on me and I need some new ones, 50-60$ max. No mic needed although that'd be a nice bonus. Will be used on my PC at home purely for music. No earphones please.

I know you can't get the very best for just over 50$, but if anyone finds me some good ones then +95 rep :420:

P.S. Good build quality is a must! Spent 150$ on these ones and the plug thingy at the end is completely f*cked :(

Its just out of your price range but I recommend Grado SR 60i. The sound, and build, quality of them are very good and can handle bass without becoming distorted.

Might be a bit over your limit but Studio Beats by Dr. Dre.
The sound and build of them is Perfect

Forget other headphones. And just invest in Beats. Well worth it.

PROS

- Ideal for bass heavy music like hip-hop, electronic/trance
- Excellent for gaming (if you can handle it)
- Ear cups nearly isolate the outer ear from ambient noise

CONS

- Not ideal for heavy metal or rock music listening
- Sounds 'tinny' when the amplifier is turned off
- No independent volume control switch on amplifier

The retail price of $90 seems rather steep for headphones sold by a company without a legacy of producing signature audio products. In other words, Sennheisers they ain't. But for an innovative product, Skullcandy's Crushers give a generous boost to bass frequencies, which is atypical of comparable headphones.

If you love bass, then get a pair of headphones with a built-in sub-woofer like the Skullcrushers. They will literally pump the bass into your skull until you drool.

Skullcandy Skullcrushers or Razer Carcharias' are great cheap headsets (listening to music with the razers right now)

Steelseries support just offered to exchange my headset as it falls well within the 2-year warranty, so yeah. Thanks everyone above though, thanked you all Smile
