(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); The official Black Ops 2 debut trailer has gone live, as NGU user You must login or register to view this content. reports: You must login or register to view this content.. The trailer hints at many potentially new vehicles including kill streaks and new weapons. Also, the possible timeline of the game is 'mentioned' during several sequences in the trailer.

The futuristic orientated setting of Black Ops 2 is something we have never seen in the Call of Duty series. This article will break down some different elements of the debut trailer to get an idea what Treyarch has in store for us come November!

The Quadrotor

First off, the Quadrotor. During FPSRussia's viral Quadrotor video, he called it “Charlene”. As it turns out, what we initially thought was true. The Quadrotor will indeed be appearing in Black Ops 2. Notice in the image below, “Charlene” etched into the Quadrotor body:

Quadrotor, as seen from the front.

Finally for the Quadrotor, a screenshot of the first person view is included below. This is most likely from 'Strike Force', a tactical sandbox game mode. Notice the objective markers, protect and secure.

Remote Turrets

Most likely a multiplayer kill streak reward/unlock. Reports suggest the Remote Turrets are known as Autonomous Ground Robot (A.G.R.).

The image below includes the same jet as seen above, as well as what appears to be an un-manned X-45 on the far right.

X-47 Pegasus

The X-47 Pegasus (another UCAV) is most likely to be introduced in Black Ops 2's multiplayer. The second image could be from multiplayer or a possible arcade mode. It shows the player earning 55 points for killing an enemy on the ground.

Weapons

The weapons below may have some functions other than shooting bullets, especially the pistols! It will be interesting to see just how hi-tech these pistols will actually be!

The following image appears to be of the M16 Assault Rifle. It is possible that this is a flashback scene and not in the futuristic time period of the game.

Below is a Light Machine Gun (LMG) from Black Ops 2. It does resemble the M240 from previous Call of Duty instalments.

This is most likely the (AK variant) AN-94 Abakan.

Finally in the weapons category, a shotgun. It appears to feature a high-powered optic, that could possibly be 4x or higher.

That's all for now! I love the new vehicles. At first, I was very critical about Call of Duty taking a leap forward into the future. It just didn’t seem like Call of Duty. However, these images have gotten me hyped and I can't wait to learn more. Will you be pre-ordering Black Ops 2? I will wait until the Hardened Edition is revealed before pre-ordering, which will be in the coming months (based off Modern Warfare 3's Hardened reveal).

Yes they can. Your theory is a complete and utter load of tosh. If you're saying that Treyarch only had the rights to the 70s and 80s, how do you explain World At War being set in the Second World War? Silly Boy.
