I'm glad that Microsoft stated that they are trying to extend the life cycle as much as possible. I don't own an xbox but Sony is doing the same thing. I would rather have spent my $300 on a console that will last me a good 8-10 years and not one that only lasts 5-6.

Agree with Honda, I'm glad my console is lasting a long time, no way I would want to shell out £400 for a new console AND games every 2 years haha.

I wonder if they have broke even with consoles yet.
Doubt sony is going too after how much the PS3 cost them to make.

Now about time they are looking into new consoles doubt we see them for 3 years before we are told about them. Also now is a bad time to release a new console with the economy being shakey.
Yen being strong also goes against sony making a profit.
Just hope sony gets the online right this time.

Hope new consoles are quite powerful but cheap that a hard balance to strike if you keep consoles around for a long time.

Mouse and keyboard support too plox ^^

because I'm still enjoying my PS3 as well :p
