What bothers me most about the claims President Obama has "put us trillions more in debt" by the GOP who DID put this nation trillions of dollars into debt is that no mention is made of several exculpatory factors: (a) Bush kept the war costs OFF the budget books to make the economy appear better than was true, and his very first week in office President Obama REVERSED this policy, adding the cost of BOTH wars into the budget reports. President Obama mentioned his predecessors (Bush/Cheney) only once as having kept these costs off, but since that one mention has simply "taken it on the chin" when accused by Republicans of increased spending. (b) The final budget submitted by the Bush/Cheney regime was the FISCAL YEAR budget that is from October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009! Most people think that President Obama's budget began in January 2009, when he first came into office, but this is just NOT SO! (c) In the Bush/Cheney final fiscal-year budget, there was wasteful spending, already appropriated, that President Obama CUT---he CUT SPENDING, first by canceling the Bush-ordered new presidential helicopter fleet at $61 BILLION, and then by cancelling the 168 Cheney-ordered F-22 planes at $1.36 MILLION EACH (so saving taxpayers $1.36 MILLION X 16---all dollars returned to Treasury to pay down our huge deficit! (d) Washington Post, Reuters, and Bloomberg have all reported that our annual deficit has DECREASED by 8%, due to the salary restrictions Democrats and President Obama placed on bailed-out bankers' salaries and bonuses until full paybacks plus interest occurred---a shrewd move that netted us $181 BILLION in 2009 from 14 of the 400 "welfare" banks aided by taxpayer dollars!
(e) GM announced this morning that they expect to pay us back within the next few weeks---FIVE YEARS EARLIER than anyone predicted! We funded a 60% share of General Motors to prevent extinction, saving more than 240,000 jobs nationwide---and the GOP kept decrying "government takeover!" or "Obama is a socialist!" when this was NEVER true and they KNEW it. GM developed the Volt car (for sale this year) that gets 340 mpg in city driving, and they announced yesterday they have procured a civilian contract with NASA as well as a previous contract with the Army to test desert-terrain vehicles. We have health care and, more importantly, INSURANCE REFORMS! We have the new Credit Card Reforms Act signed into law last year that prevents predatory fees and billing practices for ALL credit cards (saving consumers a fortune over time)! We have a president willing to STAND UP to corporate bullies, bankers, and Wall Street on our behalf to get regulations in place that prevent another meltdown (why in the WORLD are Republicans resisting these needed reforms???)! The tremendous good that President Obama has done during his 15 months in office is staggering!! The JibJab humorous slant on the Obama presidency when he first took office, portraying him as a tall, skinny, large-eared superhero turns out to be pretty darn close to the truth...lol. I'm incredibly proud of both our Democrats (who finally got themselves some BACKBONE) and this brilliant, hard-working, charismatic "mutt" of a man that we chose to lead this nation to safety after the totalitarian GOP devastations.

I dont know much about Us politics, but Obama has been trying to introduce Health care which I see as being beneficial to the U.S.

Obama is a change for the US in many ways, but way too many people are too quick to judge when it comes to a change, but sometimes a change is for the good.

Every president has their followers and haters, Obama is not exempt from this. The great thing about the US is we all have freedom of speach. One of the things Obama is great at is speaking. Thats as far as I'll go in talking highly of him, I do not like him nor the Democrated Party, but the US needs both the Republicans and the democrats to keep it balanced, that is the only way it will work. No matter who the president is, he cant do very much with out the Senate or Congress backing him. For the last 5 years the Democrats have had the power in the house', so when I see or hear Democrates saying the GOP put us in debt in the last 5 years they are truely making themselves look like idiots. Anyone who has paid attention in school and took the time to face the facts, they would realize that the DEMOCRATS are to blame for a majority of the debt (FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS, before that it was the Republicans that controlled the house so they have to face the facts on the money spent then)
Obamas health care is a joke, for one, its illegal for the government to force people to get health care, and thats why 14 states have already filed a lawsuit against the government and 8 more are likely to follow suit in the near future. If it was up to OBAMA, we would all live off the government, that way the few chosen ones would run our lives. I for one will never put up with that, so I will vote and encourage anyone to vote to get the balance back in place-Oh and befor you start flamming, that means a 50/50 split, that is the only way America can succeed.
