OT: The Jews have been scapegoats to the world in many different situations, most famously being during Hitler's regime. They've been persecuted and hated for years because their beliefs didn't fit in with the civilization they resided within. When something would go wrong with the community, they'd all think God was mad at them because they had let the Jews live there with them. They though, "Get rid of the Jews, get rid of your problems."
