One of my favorite books is "Night", by Elie Wiesel. It's about his experience in the Auschwitz concentration camp during the Holocaust. This isn't a "light read", shit gets heavy. You will read some horrific stuff, but it needed to be said. I loved the book, opened my eyes to the events of the Holocaust

I agree with above! Night was IS my favorite book! It kept you wanting to read more while feeling all the pain and horrifying things the Jews had to go through sadly .
I feel really bad for Elie and all the Jews that had to suffer through that atrocity!

Great book though in my opinion considering how much it gets to you

I like how there isn't much of a book thread here. I'll +1 all Palahniuk books, he's one of my favorite authors. I'll also +1 Bret Easton Ellis, but you have to add Less Than Zero and Glamorama to that list. Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo is one of my favorite books. Also if anyone is up for it Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace is awesome.
