Is it the reputation?, the color?, the permissions?

Yes. So I can make an immediate difference, by dealing with everything and not having to just file a report. To keep order in NGU. To make sure everyone understands the rules & where to post. To make sure rule breakers get fair punishment. Just a few reasons why & how I'd help as staff.

I know I would never be one.

But hyperfecticly if I was, I would help everyone no matter what, keep the forums cleans, and be on everyday, well I already am.
But the mods we have now are all beasts and I am happy with all of them now at this present time

To be honest, this will not work.
I can tell you now nearly everyone will come up with the same stuff. 'Oh it's to help the site', 'I just want to make this place better for other people'. On the most part that isn't true.
Most people want it for:
    The colour
  • The forum fame
  • The rep they will get for being a mod
  • To have power

Sorry but it's the truth, that is what most people who you find who are always asking for mod, hinting about being mod 'Oh, if I was mod I'd have these sections', 'Hey Outsider you looking for any new mods?' also people who say let's demote all the current mods, (So they get a chance to be mod)
People will post here with nice replys to try and make it seem like they are better choice to be a mod.
Sorry if you guys don't like it but it's truthful.
