Post: That's enough "epic".

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I'm getting a little tired of hearing the word "epic". The other day I was watching a little tv, and on THREE different commercials I heard the actors or narraters say things like; "you can win EPIC prizes!", "I'm epic win.." and "epic win for gamers". I understand that it's fun to say and it's a cool word and all. But seriously. I think we're taking it a little to far now.

When epic started, it was used as "epic fail". Now, virtually everything has epic slapped in front of it and it's getting ridiculous. Marketing firms think it'll relate the shitty products they're selling to gamer kids or anyone who's heard the term used loosely by saying the word epic in the ad campaigns. That has to stop. I like saying "epic". But if it keeps gaining in popularity as it has been, it'll become a used up word that no one uses, like "bitchin' " or "rad", because it's been said too much.

What are we supposed to do though? We can't just call up companies and say "stop fucking saying epic you retards. It's like my parents using the word 'chill' or 'fag' or something." The only thing I can think of is to boycott the products of companies trying to use this tactic, but that would be impossible for all the little gaming nerds in the world to do. But, if that were to happen, it would let the companies know that something they're doing isn't working and might pull the plug on trying to sound hip and cool by using an internet slang word.

I guess I'm just ranting about something that can't be fixed, again...

Epic fail!

Quotes :yuno: work!?

I ment to quote the first guy that replied. Knucks, i don't use the word epic very often...unless... i see someone fall on their face.. or when my kid face planted in the pool...

I remember in middle school when being "random" was the cool thing. "I LIKE JUMPING ON ONE FOOT!" "AHHHAAAA DUDE YOU'RE SO RANDOM!"

yea
