(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I've noticed a lot of you guys here are very much into cars, but the threads where we get good discussions going always get closed; under the terms of "already posted." Well, I am your savior. Here is the thread where we can discuss anything that is related to cars. Things may include but are not limited to: your new ride, a dream car, a picture of a car you recently saw, advice on a car purchase or modification, a new upcoming car, a memory with a car, or just maybe a cool picture of a car you found. I imagine this could be a pretty active thread, as I see myself coming to post in it often.

I will report any and all flames. Let's just respect each other and different ideas.

Have at it! Smile

No two threads are exactly alike. Similar threads have been posted therefore yours shouldn't exist.

No. Threads have existed that have asked users to post in particular: a dream car or a current car. This thread is intended for general automotive discussion. There has not been one to date, I'm giving you the opportunity to find a thread regarding general automotive discussion. This is an open-ended thread and not limited to one aspect. Therefore, there is nothing similar to this thread.

This is the Alfa Romeo 4C.
It will be for sale in America in 2013.
It will be under 1,900 pounds, it's mid-engined, it's Italian, it hits 60 within 4 seconds, and it will cost around $50k.

A thread as general as the thread that you are trying to make is 100% pointless. You said that in this thread we can discuss topics such as "your new ride, a dream car, a picture of a car you recently saw, advice on a car purchase or modification, a new upcoming car, a memory with a car, or just maybe a cool picture of a car you found."

If someone buys a new car and wants to talk about it, they will make a new thread.
Many dream car threads have already been posted.
If someone recently saw a car and wants to discuss it, they will make a thread.
If someone needs advice on anything to do with cars, they will ask in the appropriate section.
If someone has anything to say about cars, they will make a new thread.

The reason we don't have a section for cars is because that topic is rarely discussed here. If the need to talk about cars increases, admins will make a new section for this topic. The thread you are trying to make is completely pointless and unnecessary.

I personally think that this thread is not pointless. I being one of the people who would enjoy this thread think that it would be a nice place to talk about anything car related as most of the Dream Car and other shit like that threads tend to get boring and pointless. Coming from someone who loves cars, I think this thread is completely valid for this section.

They're really starting at 50k that seems really cheap for a mid-engine italian sports car.

You may think it is pointless, as you have no interest in automobiles. You are not a mod, so you are in NO position to tell me that a thread is pointless. You do not have the discretion to judge on the matter of if my thread is subject to closure.

I have had chances to talk about cars in the one-aspect threads, along with other members. If there is no interest in this, the thread will go to the bottom and off of the page. By trying to argue this, you're bumping it up for me, which is seemingly something you don't want to happen.

I have things to say about cars, so I am making this thread,
I may order a new car soon, so I can talk it about it here,
If I see a car, I can post about it here.

I'm sure other members will like to chime into this thread.

It only uses a 200hp Turbo 1.75 liter I-4. I think that's where the relatively cheap price comes from. But this car will be fast like the now discontinued Lotus Elise, because of the weight. I think someone could get 300-350 out of that motor without spending a whole lot.

Ehh I never really liked the Lotus Elise but it was fast. And damn only 200hp, my Acura puts out 260 with a v-tech and it's half the price.

Yes, it's a slim number. The VW 2.0T only puts out 200hp, but it is easily upgradable to 400+ with just a few grand. Usually, turbo 4 engines have a broad torque curve, so they still have power across the board when needed.

This 4C looks really nice though, that is a good selling point.

On the matter of the Elise, it's just so tiny! It's really hard to get comfortable in. But for a track car, it's unmatched.

On the matter of the Acura, is that a 4 or 6 cylinder, and is the power sent to the front wheels or the rear?
