None of you would do anything like what you said. You wouldn't be allowed. A police officers job isn't easy. You can't just do this and that. If that person got to a member of public and hurt them, the police would be criticised for not doing their job. If they rushed him and hurt him, the could be criticised for doing their job in a lethal way, even if he has a pole. Imagine the headlines, "30 cops injury man with pole". Doesn't sound good, does it. Point it, whatever the police do, the media ****s them over for it, a member of public complains they didn't do it good enough or did it too bad.

The things you want to complain about are how long it takes them to get to an emergency. Not how they handle possible volatile situations. That's how riots start.
