These protests on Wall Street will accomplish nothing if the direction they are taking is not changed. A large majority of the people participating in these protests are there with the mindset that what needs to be accomplished is a higher rate of taxation on the wealthy. This is NOT what needs to be done, and the way they are protesting is most definitely NOT the way to get it to happen. In order for a protest to be successful, the protesters must establish credibility along with a specific common goal. If these people want to be taken seriously they will need to be more informed, and have readily available suggestions on how to actually ACHIEVE the change they want. This protest should be focusing MUCH more on COMPLETELY eliminating corporate funding to political campaigns and parties, and also beginning to tax capital gains over twenty million or so. You cannot forget that all of these media outlets are run by these very corporations being protested against, and the more professional you look, the harder it is to slander you.

Agreed, I have friends who've taken place in occupy and they're proud of the fact that a viral protest has infected main stream society and to me that's pointless. It might be cool but they've done no more than sit and whine.
