    Default Does the Universe end?

I was just thinking that maybe the Universe ends somewhere, maybe it ends at heaven o.O? I know the idea is pretty stupid however what do you guys think?

When something ends, A new path begins.

Truly its never ending in theory but if ends how does it end, that's real question here

You sir are stupid. You just said that the big bang theory prooves. Now what sense does that make? A theory is not a fact. It is a THEORY. Look it up. A theory is something we have tested over and over again and it is almost a prooven fact but it isn't a fact. So therefor the big bang theory is NOT proof.

It's an interesting question. We know that what we call the Universe itself has a designated size based on the fact that no observed matter has ever moved faster than the speed of light, therefore the expanding front of the universe would be the point that light has reached in 14.6 billion years (I believe that's the age of the universe, but I could be mistaken).

Really though, this is the concept of infinity. Does reality continue beyond our understanding of the Universe? Is there more? Current scientific thinking would be, yes actually. Whether you accept Loop Quantum Theory or String Theory, both models suggest other dimensions of existence outside of the currently perceived, and the possibility of a multi-verse is still very possible.

Personally I subscribe to M-Theory, which is an advanced model of String Theory which identifies 11-dimensions, where the 4th dimension is Euclidean (not Time as people often say), and each dimension beyond that is an unobservable spacial dimension in which movement to us appears almost like magic. It's a difficult theory to test as our perceptions and indeed our ability to test the world around us, makes it exceedingly difficult to even sense the existence of these dimensions.

Currently no theory in this area is actually considered the scientifically accepted theory, although String Theory is the more accepted at the moment, the debate is still very much in progress (unlike Evolution, where no scientist disagrees with it at all, ever). They probably won't make any major breakthroughs in my lifetime, but it's an interesting, although extremely confusing field of study.

You sir are an idiot. Kindly learn what the word theory means before using it in future. For all future reference, I will be -repping people for incorrect usage of the word theory from now on because it's quite frankly getting bloody stupid now.

I know what a theory means. It's exactly what I said it was but I explained it in language that stupid people understand. You want the real term? Well, here it is

    Question: What Is a Theory?
    Answer:
The term theory is used with surprising frequency in everyday language. It is often used in to mean a guess, hunch or supposition. You may even hear people dismiss certain information because it is "only a theory."

The universe is something I don't think we will ever get. You can throw all the money you want and you won't be any nearer to finding the truth.

agreed. There is no way to find the truth because it's just somehing our minds can't calculate or just can't believe something goes on and on.

Theory is used colloquially to mean one thing, and scientifically to mean another. You know this yet you still peddle this bullshit. Why? Too bone idle or stupid to learn the difference, or too inanely arrogant to care that you're wrong? Which is it?

Are you kidding me? I know that I'm right, and I'm not sure why you came in on this convo I was having with another person, so this argument with you is over.
