(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); What are everyone's views on this?

And remember, this is about whether the church and the state should be separated or not, not whether God exists or not(there's a fairly lengthy thread already here for that) Winky Winky

Its bullsh*t.... My school for example hold a program called "influence" (good name for it) on Wednesdays during lunch. A pastor comes to talk to everyone who attends, its not mandatory but every bible pusher in the school asks everyone to come, except me because everyone knows my opinion. They talk about the bible, God, plasm, and other heavenly sh*t. I don't see how this is not illegal, separation from church and state as$. Also it's law that evolution must be taught in science classes. In college they teach creationism and evolution to let the choice be up to you. Its as$ backwards here. They are teaching students about creationism through the school without being in class. I should bring this up to our state representative.

I almost forgot, everyday at 8:25 am we have a moment of silence for 1 min. If you talk you get sent to the office. Bullsh*t...I get in trouble daily...

I won't even dignify the question with a long written response. Of course there should be church state separation.

The school system in every country teaches in the wrong way. They teach you "facts" and don't let you think for yourself. Critical thinking should be the foundation of education from 4-5 years old, that way it becomes second nature by time you're an adult.

I agree with the most part, but a moment of silence doesn't need to be directly linked to prayer or the church. You can do plenty of things in that silence that don't involve the church, just think about something else.

Now I can't exactly speak based on facts here, but over here in Canada we don't actually learn the creationism story while studying. It's taught to us in Religion and we don't have to pass that course to get a credit. (So I can literally do squat shit, usually do my Algebra and other homework in Religion)

Honestly, it's a ****ing joke, I am borderline at this moment whether I believe or don't. But it's ir******** now.

Honestly I could go on for hours, how religion shouldn't be pushed in any school in the world but it wont make a difference. People can believe whatever the **** they want to, but to base a school on one religion and single out other kids...**** that's exactly the opposite of what "God" wanted us to do.

I feel sorry for you man.

As for separation, I am 100% for it, there is no reason not to.

Whats funny is that I go to a public school...

What's even funnier is I went to one of the best secondary/high schools in London(as in you don't pay but there's entrance exams etc etc) and the locker 666 was missing.

I wonder why...

Then that's something that I wouldn't tolerate. That is something that is worthy of discussion with the school board.

One group should not be allowed to control a state often what happens they protect there own interests.
Turkey is a good example not so long ago the chruch was cut away from the state.
It still fighting to keep it that way.
I think it should be for a number of reasons.
Teaching people the paths available over forcing a view on somebody is best way of running a state.

It also reduces tensions by making groups stand by each other. You got to do other things too to reduce tensions but it helps to bring us together.

I've thought about going to the news or something but all that would really do, living in the bible belt, would make a lot of people hate me. Plus living in a small town, word would spread fast.
