Got emailed this earlier today.

Can't believe the statistics given. It's an absolute shambles to think that people who have upheld our economy and country for the last 60/70 years are treated in this way. And the government and other parties wonder why there is a dislike towards them and foreigners in this country. If the two were relative by comparison, then i'm sure there would be different views towards immigrants in Britain. Things like this just exacerbate situations worse.

I personally have no issues with foreigners and them helping our economy, but I do have an issue with the government and their clear lack of care towards the elderly. It's almost when you retire that's it, they want you dead and gone so you're not a leech on society. That's despite the last 50years of NI payments and tax you've paid.

What are your thoughts? Do you think racism in Britain would be less so/common if certain issues such as this were made right, as in be relative? No racist bullshit in this thread.

I totally think that if things were fairer it would have a difference, but people will always be mad of the fact that people can come here, claim asylum and get these benefits and who's to blame the asylum seekers if they can get this knowledge freely? Why can't someone that's not extremely right wing do it without making it a racial thing? Pfft.

this isnt being racist!!! whoever sent you that email is stating that immigrants are getting way more than pensioners. But why should they? its a disgrace in MY OPINION. I have nothing against anyone elses belief or religion but for foreigners to come into our country and protest against the way our country is run, that is wrong! And for our government to stop british people demonstrating, but allowing foreigners to do it?, whats that about.

Most of the hate towards foreigners comes from examples like this being over exaggerated.
Problem is people are vague about it and never look at the root cause. People rally on it and use it for there own gain.

Saying that if this true.....it wrong.
Somebody who comes to this nation should be given help BUT just enough to help them find a job and fit in.
Pensions are broken right now and need fixing. Everybody when they start working should be saving towards a pension.

I'm sick and tired of the way the UK is run, sometimes you have to wonder if 5 year olds could do a better job. I was reading a news article just under a week ago about people from Poland claiming benefits. It turned out that these people weren't even living in the uk, they would just fly here and stay for a short time then return home - doing no work in the process. When they returned home they would earn from uk benefits more than a normal (polish) working mans wages. It's almost a disgrace that foreigners are treated better than UK citizens.

Also I'm not racist, that just really annoyed me.

People will be racist as long as things like this don't change ! And I must say that I agree with them when I see the statistics above

I don't think racism plays a part in stuff like this. This is the British Government's fault and foreigners are just exploiting the system. The only racism comes into it when they claim benefits and do nothing for our country. This isn't false info. I saw something on a in the news of some Romanian single mum. She was claiming benefits and selling the Big Issue , she was getting 25k a year. That's AVERAGE wage. She doesn't do any hard work, she works and claims benefits. But apparently selling the Big Issue isn't classed as "work". It's the law that immigrants HAVE to get told what benefits they can receive. UK citizens have to ask.

It's sickening that OAP's have paid a big chunk of their wage for it to go to foreigners instead of themselves. This country is fucked. Immigrants get MORE than a soldier. Starting wage is 17k and they risk their lives while immigrants get 25k for doing nothing. It also sickens me when Teachers and civil servants who sit in warm officers/rooms all day go on strike about their wages being too low at 25+k, while soldiers HAVE to get on with it, sleeping in the cold (if they sleep) and risk their lives for these people who go on strike.

Immigrants shouldn't get any special help to get a job either. They should have to struggle like everyone else. I've been unemployed for ages. I'm sending CV's off left right and centre and hear nothing back. Yet someone who came into the country less than a month ago get's a job.

Our country cares too much about having a good image to the outside world, but don't give two shits about the people in it. People take everything for granted in our country, as I have explained. I was working a shit job. I hated it, but I knew at least I had a job where as some people don't. I didn't take it for granted like civil servants do who go on strike because 30k isn't enough for them, somehow.

We need a massive reform in our country. I didn't vote last time, I regret that now because of how shit this government is. Next time I am going to vote and I hope the Tories don't get back in. I think we either need a Queen with power, like it used to be, or a President. What we have right now isn't working. And this just goes to show how fucked up Britain is.

I thought this kind of racism is only in Arab country's ! British , Americans , Canadians and other European here in UAE or any Arab country the foreign get triple salary and more benefits than local people and more respected than anyone and much and much ![COLOR="Silver"]

Yeah but there is a difference. People are going to these places to work, whereas foreigners coming here and not working are entitled to money.

Also, you have to remember those people who are going out to these places to work are experts in that field, all other employment is from the locals. That's the only reason people from abroad get paid more.

Same thing happens here in Ireland Gunney and im pissed off about it tbh.What the polish do is send 1 person back over a month to collect multiple peoples social welfare and then someone else will do it the following month and so on.Also the thing that pissed me off the most which I personally witnessed was a nigerian immigrant trying to board a bus with her child in a pram.But because there was already a pram on the bus the bus driver said you cant get on,So what did she do ? She took the child out of the pram and left the pram at the bus stop and her response Ah well the social welfare will buy me a new one.Pure and utter scum if you ask me.
