In front of you are 100 brief cases, each with 5 million dollars in them. However the catch is one of the brief cases has a bomb in it, and when you open the brief case it will explode and kill you instantly. But if you open any of the other 99 with cash it's all yours, interest free. The question for you is would you open any of them? and if you did open them how many would you open? Discuss.

I'd open all of them, because until I open the case, the bomb is neither in there nor is it not. I base my hypothesis off of Schroedinger's Cat, you just don't know until you open the case.

Each case you open add 1% of chance to die, I would open 5 of them making the chance to die at 5% which is low :drack:

well a bomb would weigh relatively the same as 5 million dollars, but I was waiting for an answer like that . +rep for thinking outside the box.

PS: There's another way of testing if it's a bomb without it killing you, but I won't give away the answer. =D

Well, if it kills me instantly, then I wouldn't know that I chose the bomb so I guess I'd take a risk of opening 20 of them, 100m cash. Then quit.
