(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was just wondering if anyone on ngu DJ's? It doesn't have to be mixing, it can be music production and remixing as well.

Please tell me what you do (mix or produce), what genre of music you mainly do and what you use (software and/or hardware).

I have been DJ'ing with a Traktor Kontrol S2 for a few months ago and I think I'm going alright. I'm still an amateur but I can deffinately tell I'm improving. I mainly mix house and electrohouse.

For all of you that want to see what the s2 looks like, here it is. I bought it for $500, it was on special.

I have also attempted to make house music :p

Here's my soundcloud for all that want to hear my mixes Smile I'd be happy if you followed me, and I may even follow you back Smile You must login or register to view this content.

And here's a group I made for all DJ's to join Smile You must login or register to view this content.

At least I can fight
I am a DJ. I've DJ'ed with radio station presenters. Have my own online radio. I'm more of a mixing person. But saying that I'm bring out my album soon. I use denon decks to do my mixing
You must login or register to view this content. there's a few mixes on there but a few original songs

I also like to use the DJ app for iPad and virtual DJ pro but I think that's kinda classed as cheating. So I try not to do it as much

Wow that sounds like an amazing accomplishment. Oh nice as, will you post the songs up here or on your soundcloud? Smile

Not sure if that's cheat but don't worry I kind of cheat as well Winky Winky I stuff up my mixes sometimes and edit them in FL Studio to fix them up. I'm still an amateur so I eventually won't need to do this Smile

Also, followed you on soundcloud Winky Winky

I've had a chat with you before about it Juzzy :p. There was some other dude that does too plus Gobble does / has DJed. I'll be getting a pair of Technics 1210's and a mixer next month some time hopefully, working like full time at the moment, I'm sick of virtual dj haha.

I really want to start remixing stuff for fun.. I have no time nor patience at the moment so I'll have to wait for this summer :FU:. And I need a good DJ name, any suggestions?

Nice to know I'm not the only DJ here. I work as a DJ for a local company set up by students at my highschool. We DJ things such as Barmitzvahs and weddings and whatnot. The board I use is a nice NS7. For live gigs I use the program ITCH, but for producing I use Ableton Live 8 with a ton of plugins Winky Winky. Here's a picture of me and my board: You must login or register to view this content.

And just the board: You must login or register to view this content.

Haha that's two things you definately need to DJ. Sorry, but that's something you should think of yourself Winky Winky Some common name suggestions would be nicknames, shortening of your name or something you like. Remember, make sure no other DJ has that name and make sure you're not breaching copyright with the name.

I feel you. DJing is one of the most expensive things out there. Try and get used gear though, it's a lot cheaper and usually works/looks just as well.
