Dave Limited today issued the following statement pertaining to recent allegations made by rival company JimErased concerning the breaking of a multitude of NextGenUpdate features:

"Dave .Ltd regrets the comments made by JimErased corporation earlier this week, and while it admits to being 'completely at fault' for the breaking of the Inferno ShoutBox for just under five minutes on the morning of 25th June, would like to make it clear that in no shape or form was it involved in the breaking of said postbit, nor the bug creating asterisks at the end of each user post.

Dave .Ltd has no feeling concerning these matters, but believes the asterisks were created by a developed by a vBulletin administrator, who has yet to comment on these allegations. Dave .Ltd has no feelings on other issues experienced by NextGenUpdate users but believes the recent allegations made by JimErased corporation could perhaps be a deflection of guilt and would advise users to question the actions of JimErased corporation.

While Dave .Ltd distances itself from any instances of broken NextGenUpdate features and believes JimErased corporation should perhaps absorb all guilt, Dave .Ltd has decided the damage inflicted upon itself is irreversible and as such has been rebranded to 'Dave.'."

A representative of the JimErased Corporation just released this statement:

"In accordance to the VBULLETIN.ORG Terms of Service paragraph 8, neither VBULLETIN.COM, VBULLETIN.ORG or any associates of this site can not be held responsible for, and I quote, 'DIRECT, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF USE, DATA OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED'.

This clearly puts the blame at the hands of the Dave Limited in regards to the asterisks at the end of the any given user's post, as there wasn't such a problem before said plugin was installed on NextGenUpdate's forum system.. Also in conjunction with the postbit ceasing to work in the correct fashion, Dave Limited also disabled half of the forum's plugins, which directly caused a disruption for over an hour of the forum, including, but not limited to the loss of donations, shoutbox parsing incorrectly, missing information on the boards and disruption to the vBbux and vBPlaza products.

It is with these false accusations that Dave Limited issues towards the JimErased Corporation that we immediately request for a cease and desist in all defamatory comments, including, but not limited to threads, comments, instant messages, private messages and posts.

Also it is requested that you pay for this defamation of the JimErased Corporation with the sum of Tree Fiddy, payable to the JimErased Corporation."

Just hours after JimErased Corporation's press release, Dave, the chairman of Dave. .Ltd has released the following press statement:

"Dave .Ltd regrets the libellous, defamatory comments made by JimErased earlier this afternoon and has full intentions of beginning a legal enquiry into JimErased Corporation if they are unwilling to amend the comments to Dave .Ltd's satisfaction. Dave Ltd. would like to stress the broken query which disabled half of our plugins occurred over 2 months after the disruption to the postbit's vBux items and the discrepancies were understood to have been caused by a party disabling the option in the Administrator Control Panel, most likely one which has hid itself from the administrator archive. It is to Dave Ltd's understanding that JimErased Corporation is responsible for this.

Dave .Ltd is also disappointed at the apparent '[Jim]erasing' of all traces of evidence after the deletion of 'JIZMO F Inc.' which contained evidence relevant to the upcoming court case between the parties involved and hopes the evidence in question can be retrieved within the next week.''
