[Multipage=Intro]In this thread you'll get your fix on the latest news of Next-Gen Consoles, New Games of the near future, and Analysis of the upcoming releases for 2012 and extra info on them. Enjoy!
With all the fuss about Black Ops II a recent find was almost missed about the next Call of Duty title in development. On a job listing at You must login or register to view this content.; which was taken down for obvious reasons, revealed that we will have another Call of Duty from Sledgehammer Games. Before the listing was removed it showed the company was looking for a Senior FX Artist

Well there it is. The next Call of Duty is in the works and Sledgehammer is developing it. Not only has Sledgehammer indirectly confirmed the next CoD, but has also indirectly confirmed the Next-Gen consoles (Info on them found on the next page). This has become apparent because Hyper Realism will require both a brand new engine and brand new processors. As some of you now the Call of Duty titles have been using the ID Tech 3 Engine since Call of Duty 2 (2005). Of course the engine has been tweaked from game-to-game, but even then, the engine is very outdated. So could this also mean another gaming engine is in the midst by Sledgehammer? Or will they get an outside source like the visual fx?
My main concern is with a new engine, will it still be Call of Duty? Of course it technically will, but will it feel the same? With many games that swapped engines we saw that the feel for the game was completely different. Could this change CoD for good? Or will make the game the ultimate experience? Time will only tell. I'll keep you guys up-to-date on any CoDX Info I get. I'll be expecting CoDX to be announced at E3 '13.
[Multipage=Next-Gen Consoles]As stated in the CoDX page, the next CoD title will require both a new engine and new processors to support the game. As we all know, but still has not been confirmed The 'urango' or XBox 720 is in the dev-stage. Now we know the 720 is coming, but what about the 'Orbis'? Otherwise known as the Ps4. Now there has been some speculation that the Orbis is real due to Sony's recent looking at some very high-brow AMD processors.
Will Sony drop the ball or stay in the competition? I'll be expecting more info on the Durango and Orbis throughout the of 2012 and 2013.
Here are the rumoured specs for the Orbis and Durango.
PlayStation 4 'Orbis'[/u]:
AMD x64 (APU) Quad-core Fusion (Liverpool) based CPU at 3.2Ghz based on Streamroller Architecture (this is huge, this is supposed to be out next year and the processor might have even a high-end GPU integrated, the lastest APU has a 7660 GPU, so we might expect something better)
AMD Radeon 7990 GPU (the most powerful graphics card to date from AMD) running at 800Mhz with 1.843 TeraFlops of power
2GB of RAM, developers want this to be pushed to 4GB of RAM
Blu-Ray drive, HDMI with only 1080p support and not double as previously rumoured
320GB HDD + 16GB Internal Flash for OS
These specs are rumor so if you wanna see the page yourself You must login or register to view this content. is the link.
XBox 720 'urango'[/u]:
An Eight-Core CPU (Brand hasn't been named at this time)
Possible Blu-Ray Drive, for true 1080p and native 3D output.
Expected to be six times more powerful than the 360
No further specs have been 'leaked' at this time.

My final ultimate confirmation of the big two being released soon is from an interview at GamesCom with EA's very own Frank Gibeau. Frank stated

That's all I got on the Next-Gen Consoles. More info when I get it :y:
[Multipage=Analyzing The New Releases]With E3 and GamesCom behind us, its time to analyze what we'll be getting for Christmas, Honakkuh (Did I spell that right?), Kwanza, and every other holiday out there.
Just so everyone knows this won't be an in-depth analysis, just a brief review.
So first off we'll talk about the series games that are trending. We have Assassin's Creed III, Black Ops II, Halo 4, Army of TWO: The Devil's Cartel, BioShock Infinite, Madden '13, FIFA '13, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Resident Evil 6, and so much more!
The big three people are mostly getting geared up for are Halo 4, Black Ops II, and Assassin's Creed 3. For good reason of course. These games are looking spectacular!
Black Ops II has currently been the ultimate focus for gamers because of its live stream at You must login or register to view this content.
Here are the reveal trailers for Halo 4 and Assassin's Creed III. Enjoy everyone.
Now its time for a little knowledge of these games. First off ACIII will take place during the Revolutionary War, you will be playing the role of 'Connor' the son of a Native American woman and British Soldier. The game takes place between 1753 and 1783, so expect all long game and even longer credits.
Connor isn't as outgoing as Ezio, he is much quitier. Connor will be acting in justice rather personal revenge. Connor eventually crosses pathes with the Assassins on his path to righteousness. So expect some justice Oct. 30, 2012
Onto Halo 4. Halo 4 will feature. The one. The only. Master Chief! Yes Chief's back with Cortana on an alien planet where the incredible Promethus has crash landed. Not much about the actual storyline has been released. Guess we'll have to wait for December of this year to find out.
Finally we're on to my final section of game releases. New Independent Games.
3 Big ones I'll be watching for are DayZ, Remember Me, and Dishonored.
I don't have much info on any of these (Sorry guys I'm actually just getting tired of typing. I'll update later ) So here are the release trailers. Enjoy
You messed up the pages lol. And wasn't Call of Duty X just an old rumor? Black Ops 2 is the next COD, and after that whatever shit IW comes up with. Probably MW4. :dumb:

I noticed that lol and CoD X isn't much a rumor considering Sledgehammer is looking for a new Visual FX artist. Also IW is out of the CoD Scene. I've done my homework Travis

IW isn't making CoD games anymore? :brilliant: I haven't given a shit about CoD since MW2 so I don't see/hear everything.
