There is actualy some controversy about that- many people, including myself, believe that humanity is not strongly influenced by the evolutionary process anymore because of our social structure and technology, and soon will not be influenced by it at all.
We don't have biological "survival of the fittest" anymore, because children born with birth defects or other problems can get medical help to live longer- even long enough to reproduce.
We don't have much natural selection for reproduction either, since our society expects almost everyone to get married and have children.
Soon, we will have true gene manipulation, and people will be able to reshape their bodies however they want, completely placing us outside of evolution.
I would not discount humans yet, after all they have yet to remove themselves totally from self destruction.
I believe the Darwin awards are still being printed, and awarded still.
Humans may not change on a drastic scale, but they will on a more subtle level.
