I saw this on the Sky News website yesterday, the fist ever test message was 'Merry Christmas' :p

Wouldn't be surprised actually. Cellular phones were starting to make a boom in the market place in the early to late 90s :p

Definitely would be pretty cool to go around and say "I sent the first text message twenty years ago"
