Post: My largest question about god

The most puzzling question i have about god is how is it possible that god is infinite future and infinite past. I use this analogy to explain my point, imagine an infinitely long highway, its infinitely long in the north direction and infinitely in the south direction. This highway represents god. The length of the highway represents time, and the highway is infinite. This means that god has come in from the middle of the highway and started creating the north end and south end at the same time. That would mean that the past is still being created and the future is still being created. The reason i say god came in the middle is because if you think about it, that is the only way a man could create an infinitely expanding highway in both direction, let’s say you had a million guys working on the north end and the south end. And they NEVER stop building in any direction because the south end never stops and the north end never stops because the highway is infinite. Remember the highway represents time, or “Gods time/lifetime” if you will.

The thing is, in religion; God is not finite.

The past is finite in our dimension while the future is random. With multiple dimensions, who is to say that I typed the letter A and in another B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y and Z were just pressed? But when we look at things, we know that one of those letters were pressed but have no clue what will be pressed next; we think we know but it doesn't mean it will happen.

The idea of God in the context I am seeing you state is that how can something be so infinite. What you need to ask yourself is; how does existence start without it already being there. A theory is that existence created itself through a paradox.

How is god to be created without there being a God to create it? You can say God created itself to create itself so that it could exist.

To our knowledge, everything we do an think could be a 9th dimensional being with supernatural powers simply controlling us like some Sims game and we would have no control over it. We can only see so many dimensions. Who is to say that the "GOD" does not exist in thus dimension?

I'm an Agnostic-Atheist by the way.

Most posts you make I can relate too. I've recently started praying, it seems to work for me. But I'm very lucky in this world, and I've gotten everything I've prayed for. It's really weird, it fills a void I feel that is missing in my life. Idk how to explain it, I don't believe in any of the religions currently. But I do believe in some kind of God. It's too weird the way the world works for it to just be evolution and shit. Former Atheist. Plus I hit you with a +150 :y:

Yea. I take on a more science approach. I grew up going to church and later decided it wasn't for me.

This world is weird. I refuse to bow to a God. If you take into text, the god that Catholics, Christians, Jews, Etc.. follow is Sexist, Evil allowing, Temper-minded, and arrogant.

If anything, the two are the following in which I will believe:

He existed and has left us or He never existed.

You don't deserve god in your life since you are denying him right now , but one day you may really need him and he WILL be there but just don't deny him anymore.

Sadly, if anything I'd follow Lucifer in the retaliation against god. If you compare Lucy to God and their ideas and actions, Lucy in my opinion is correct as is God.

Lucy isn't what they make him out to be and those who follow the satanic bible doing sacrifices and such, that's modified scripture although to a point it is real. The book is pure in a form as well as the bible.

Whatever you prefer is up to you. God will always have his hands and heart open, unlike the devil , which WILL give you what you want but in return for something (like your soul) and once you stop giving him stuff , you are done for.

Just wanna something, anybody who takes the bible literally is a complete idiot.
For me it's a fairy tale.

Facts/Reasons why I don't belive in the bible:

The bible contradict's itself.
Is against homosexuality, he "loves" everybody as the same way as everybody.
How the fuck did noel get all those fucking animals and plants and everything else in a single boat.
The bible promotes a view that is completely at odds with how we understand the universe and all things in it.

Read the Bible even for a little while and you'll soon realize that most of the major characters are, shall we say, less than ideal. Abraham passes his wife off as his sister twice! in order to save his skin. Moses is a murderer. David sleeps around. Peter denies Jesus three times. Whatever their accomplishments, most of the "heroes of the faith" are complicated persons with feet of clay.
