(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});OK heres a simple but funky way of creating a downpour of rain on your signatures. firstly here an example i've done using this technique:
get yourself any render to try this out on, any render will do, try some clouds or something, ok firstly make a new layer and fill it completely black, now go to
FILTER>>NOISE>>ADD NOISE
now make sure the noise is just black and white (theres a checkbox called monochromatic, ensure this is ticked) once you've got black and white noise set this setting so that theres a fair bit of noise i normally i use anything from 22.6-26.2 on the sliding scale. once your happy click ok.
STEP 2:
With your noise layer still selected go to:
FILTER>>BLUR>>MOTION BLUR
now you'll want to set this to anything from 5-8 i find works best and then set the angle at 66 and press OK
STEP 3:
Repeat steps 1 and 2 so you have three layers of noise, only with each of the new layers of noise you make, use an angle of 56 for the blur on one and 79 on the other.
STEP 4:
Select your layers of rain and ensure they are all set to OVERLAY or SOFT LIGHT (whichever looks best to you)
STEP 5:
Hop over to image ready and hide two of your rain layers, now duplicate the frame, hide the one that you had visible and unhide one of the other layers, duplicate this layer and hide the visible layer and unhide the last layer of rain.
STEP 6:
set all the frames to a speed of 0.1 and press play! and hey presto you've made it rain on your image!
the finished product will look something like this: You must login or register to view this content.
Thanks, i'm glad you like it, i'll be adding more tutorials in the near future that will complement some of my tutorials posted so keep an eye out for them. Most will all be about animation and how to manipulate things in photoshop
