This happens when you:
Open Garage ; Modify ; & Close the program at [X]......
If you close it like that, you will have your save screwed up... backup is the main rule

Luckily I got a backup via Bruteforce :P I just use it first and then close it w/o editing and then use the Garage Editor. Thanks Man!

Every time I try to edit something with this I get a corrupt save. All I'm trying to do is do a single part switch to a single car and nothing seems to want to work. Can anyone tell me why it won't let me put the LSD from a Fiat Coupe Turbo into the Volvo Estate wagon that I have already converted to FWD?

Edit: Just tried a AWD conversion on a Eclipse GT '06 and that currupted too. Starting to get annoyed that nothing is working for me.

Funny how easy you've made this for everyone yet they still can't mod the cars.

What is this world coming to..........................

  • If your last gt5.# file grows beyond 0x200000 bytes you will get an error on loading gt5.

FAQ

This is a bug, for which there is no way around as of now.

There is a file size limit, of 0x200000 for each of gt5.0 gt5.1 gt5.2
What has happened is that after using the app your save's last gt5.# file has become longer than 0x200000 bytes.

When you have a file longer than 0x200000, GT5 gives this memory error, saying you need more than 32mb of space.

The reason I can't just create another file, is because at the moment I don't know how to manually make the signature of a file & place it in the param.pfd. ( I will look into it. )

Try rebooting the game only.
This happens to me from time to time, but works on reboot.
If it will not work continually. Send me your save.

  • Type the values of the car with 4WD, or click on the parts of the 4WD on the left hand side.

  • Give the front and rear some appropriate values.
  • Make sure to set the Trq figure so the wheels will have some Torque on the front.
  • Leave as zero for a 4WD that drives like its RWD

Method is similiar for FWD & RWD conversions, just choose appropriate parts & set LSD on front or rear as required.

Why is it not possible to choose the TC cars from the database?

Thanks for the program BTW! :-)

im pretty sure BHP stands for brake horsepower... as BHP is a common term in the car world. HP meaning horsepower is what the car puts to the ground. but brake horse power is the actual power made by the engine

Yes you are correct BHP is Brake Horsepower that is why if you read my post it says "for the purpose of this application". Brake Horsepower is the power the engine produces before any parasitic or emission control losses.
