What is the best weapon to use overall?

I always die when equipped with different weapons so which is the best one based on short-medium-long ranges and which ones do you prefer?

No such thing as best weapon all weapons should be used in a different way. Its not one weapon that is just the "best" It depends what you are doing and how far away you are etc...

I usually play with the AK-47 or the gun from the Valentines DLC. These are my favourite weapons. :-)
But like xKtF said there is no 'best' weapon.

I always use the shotgun for close ranges and a sniper rifle for large ranges.

Climbing up the ladder
Go to weapon=Combat MG
Close=Assault Shotgun/AP Pistol
Medium-Long Range=Combat MG
Long Range=Heavy Sniper/Minigun
From Vehicle=Stocky Bombs/AP Pistol
For People Camping At Corners=RPG/Sticky Bombs
Cops=Assault Rifles/Any Gun
Fun=DLC Guns/Stickies/RPG Enzo

Best gun? thats ure choice, but the new carbine and the thompson are beast
