Former President of Rockstar Leslie Benzies is now suing the company for over $150 million in unpaid royalties he says are owed to him after he was allegedly forced out from the company after taking a sabbatical.

Benzies took a sabbatical from the company beginning in September of 2014 which ended in reports of him leaving the company this past January. Benzies is stating he was forced to leave the company and was ordered to leave the company's office when he tried to return to work on April 1, 2015. Attorneys for Benzies are stating the following:

"While on sabbatical, Mr. Benzies discovered numerous deceptions on the part of Take-Two, Rockstar, Rockstar North Ltd, Sam Houser and Dan Houser, who sought to force him out of the company and terminate his portion of royalty payments based upon arbitrary actions by the company's royalty Allocation Committee, a committee that may or may not have actually ever met."

Current President Strauss Zelnick commented on a conference call about Benzies' departure only by saying, "I can confirm that Leslie Benzies went on sabbatical in September of 2014," Zelnick said, according to a transcript of the call. "He's decided not to return to Rockstar Games."
