[Tutorial] Editing Compiled SCO Menu's

//dont use to take out names from menu's :boss:

Requirements
OpenIV - You must login or register to view this content.
ScoToolbox - You must login or register to view this content.
Sco Compresser (optional) - You must login or register to view this content.

Tutorial
  • Open your update.img file in openIV
  • Click Edit Mode
  • Right Click the .Sco's you want and extract

You must login or register to view this content.

Now load ScoToolbox, browse to your .SCO and open
Then you should see save as Decoded.sco, and click Process

The .sco is now decoded and you can open code editor to start editing:

You must login or register to view this content.

It may look confusing but if you look at the highlighted code:

XMC Menu v3.57 DeNo (~PAD_LB~+~PAD_RB~ = Menu Text
mod1 = name of .sco script

both can be edited, which is useful for editing these once you have filled your modslots:

You must login or register to view this content.

Once done, close down Sco Toolbox and reopen your decoded file

You must login or register to view this content.

Once again, open and then process the decoded file and you should get this:

You must login or register to view this content.

Then simply drag this .sco into openIV replacing the old one.
