Welcome to my Thread on "Types of Text Signatures".
I will show you a few of my own ideas for some text signatures, which will contain "Scrollers", which I will explain later!
The pages on this thread will consist of Tutorials and Detailed Explanations on the different type of signatures, and what they contain.
This thread will continue to be updated constantly with new information and explanations on the harder sections of the Tutorials.
I hope you enjoy this thread, and I hope it helps you all out!
Maybe this will help you open up a Signature Shop
Now, before we get started let me explain what a Scroller is.
A scroller can be a Picture, Text or just about anything!

They are easy to make, and I will show you exactly how that is done in my first tutorial!
[Written Tutorial] - Text with a Simple Scroller
Font Needed: Batman Forever You must login or register to view this content.
First, Open a new Photoshop document and set the dimensions:
500px Width by 275px Height.
Now select the
Magic Wand tool (Unless your background is already transparent) and remove all the White background.
Once done, select the
Text Tool and set the Font size to:
145 pt (or your suited size).
Now type whatever text you want, I'm going to type "
Ben" as that is my name!

Now we are going to edit the Text to make it look more "Awesome!" :|
Right click the "
Text Layer" and select "
Blending Options".
What you now want to do is look for a Tab or Tick Box named "
Stroke". Click it.
Where it says "
Size" set it to "
8px" (or your preferred setting

Now that you have the outline done, we are going to work on the "
Inside Colours".
Look for the Tick Box named "
Colour Overlay", now Click on the coloured box next to the "
Blend Mode" drop down box.
For the purpose of this tutorial, I am going to use a Light Blue. If you want the same colour, Copy and Paste the colour code (
0084ff) into the "
#" box at the bottom of the box.
So now we have the colour done, Click on the box named "
Satin".
Set the "
Angle" to "
81".
Set the "Distance" to "6px".
Set the "Size" to "13px".
Now we can get on to making the
Scroller. :rainbowcry:
First, Click the rectangle tool and draw out a fairly slim rectangle.
Now we can edit the rectangle to whatever we like, But to keep it short and simple I'm just going to copy the "
Text Layer Style".
To do this, simply move your mouse over to the "
Text" layer, and Right-Click. Look for an option that says "
Copy Layer Style".
Now that we have it copied, Right-Click on the "Rectangle Layer" and select the option which says "
Paste Layer Style".
Right-Click the "
Rectangle Layer" and select "
Blending Options".
Click on the "
Colour Overlay" tab. For the simplicity of the Tutorial, I am going to be using a Lighter Blue (
00fcff) Which you can use, by following the technique I listed above!

Now you are ready to
ANIMATE! :carling:
First, Click on "
Window" on the Navigation Bar on the top of Photoshop. Make sure the option "
Animation" is selected.
You should now see a Window Pane pop-up on the bottom of Photoshop, this is where we will be working next!

First click the "
New Layer" icon in the "
Animation (Frames)" window.
Now you click on the "
Rectangle Layer" in your normal "
Layers Window".
You now drag the rectangle to the other side of your text.
So now, if you click the first "
Frame" in the animation window it should be on a different side to the one on the second "
Frame".
Now we can "
Tween" the two frames!
Easiest way to describe the tween icon is "Rainbow Icon", I will now refer to it as that.
Make sure you have the First Frame selected.
Now you click the "
Rainbow Icon", and a window should pop up.
You should see a Drop-Down box which should say "
Tween With: Next Frame" if it doesn't say that, Change it so it does

Now set the "
Frames to Add" to "
50".
(The more Frames the slower the bar will move through your text.)
You should now have
52 Frames in the "
Animation (Frames)" window. Scroll to "
Frame 52".
Click on Frame 52, and then click the "Rainbow Icon".
Set the "Tween With" box to "
First Frame", and set the frames to add to "
50".
You should now have
102 frames. If you go to the
First Frame and click
Play, you should see the bar move across the text.
But as you've noticed, we have a problem! :concentrate:
In order to make the scroller go inside the text, Copy the following EXACTLY as I say.
- Click the Rectangle Layer
- Now Drag the text layer into the "Add Layer Mask" Button. (It should be next to the "fx" icon)
Now if you've done that correctly, it should be inside the text and you should end up with a result like this:

If you need any help feel free to send me a PM.
I will be updating this thread a lot more, so don't judge me based on this one tutorial, there will be others! :satisfied:
