That is a large improvement!

The C4D's look great, but one thing you should do; have the C4D over lap parts of the render to add blending. Good Job on the depth as well.

Im not sure if i know how to make part of the c4d overlap the render |:| Do i just cut the c4d layer and put it over the render or vise versa?

here's something to try:

Duplicate your C4D layer at least once.

Place your render in between those 2 layers

Erase parts of the Top C4D layer where your Focal is, but leave some of that top layer there for blending.

How is this?

thats considerably better, keep working with that. Start adding Fractal C4D for lighting along with your gradiants and read some tutorials on DeviantArt.

You're a promising artist :P

I definitely like the second version a lot more, but it could still definitely use some improvement. First, remove that lighting layer you have on top of the c4d and the render - it really detracts from the tag. You'll want to remove the text as well, the pure white looks off compared to the grays. On the far left side, it seems like you have 3 white lines there, which would look much better if they were to go away.

Overall, though, this is definitely your best tag so far (and not just because you used c4ds in it, because the composition as a whole is much better).

Edit:

Also, Taco, I like this tag more than the one you showed Mini D in the other thread tbh. =3

Better? I took off the lines, made text dark grey, took light off render, and darkened the image a bit(just personal preference).

I really hate it when artists try to erase any evidence of bad art from the public eye... just a little leftover toxicity from when you got your last thread deleted, that's the kind of thing that hurts you in the long run. I have probably 150 tags in my Photobucket account that are absolutely terrible, but I posted them on 4 or 5 different forums because they're my art just like the best tags I've made. Your good and bad together make who you are, and no artist can escape a bad day on canvas. Or week. Or month. We all slump, but you need to learn to leave your art out there for people to see, because there's always good in every piece of art and you can take knowledge from every one.
