Possible Logo Identity Feedback?

Hey everyone, I rarely post my work in the graphics section here (I'll have to change that :|) but I want opinions on my new possible logo. I wanted to keep it unique, memorable, sleek and profesional unlike my current logo which in my opinion isn't very memorable; also my current logo is not in vector format so I can't scale to any size. This logo concept design is done in Adobe Illustrator (I'm just getting to grips with this program so yh) I want to know what you think of this logo, what colours it would look good in and whether it meets my criterea; any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I don't really understand the purpose of the center line. The typography is nice but needs to be more evenly rounded on the edges - the top half of both letters is more rounded than the bottom. I prefer the circumscribed logos for the simplicity and don't much care for the gradient on the pink one. For the regular logo, the black outline is too thick.

I like it. It is ingenious and simple. The center line does perplex me a bit. Maybe you could make one without the line to compare? If it isn't necesarry to have the line then it should go. Someone above me stated the bottom half is less rounded than the top, but I like this. It gives it a bit of contrast in my opinion. In my opinion I prefer the ones on the bottom that are within the circles. It gives it a nice feel overall.

The line is optional and easy to take it off but allot of modern logos these days have one about that thick so I don't see how you can say it is to thick; but thanks I'll have a look to see what it looks like without the center line, I just felt it was a little boring without it. The gradient is optional it was just one of my favourite colour schemes while working on this project.

Just because everyone does it, doesn't mean you should too. I just think the center line takes up too much space if it's meant as an aesthetic touch.
